Terms of service

Get3DMed (“we”, “us”) runs get3dmed.com. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you create an account or subscribe to Student Pro. Please read them with our privacy notice and refund and cancellation policy, which form part of them.

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. Where a term below seems to say otherwise, your legal rights win.

• You must be 13 or over to create an account.
• If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to subscribe to Student Pro.
• An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
• Give an email address you can receive mail at, and keep it up to date.

Get3DMed is a study aid. It is not medical advice and must not be used to diagnose or treat anyone.

• Models are simplified representations of anatomy, cells and molecules. Real bodies vary.
• Use Get3DMed alongside your teaching and check anything important against your course.
• The AI tutor writes its answers automatically and can make mistakes. Do not put personal health information, or anyone else's personal information, in your questions.

Explore is free, with no time limit: the seven demos (heart, arm, brain, eye, skull, glucose and DNA) with every viewer tool, three saved views at a time and three prepared tutor answers.

Student Pro costs £7.99 a month or £59.99 a year, or in the United States $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year, paid in advance by card through Stripe. Prices in pounds include any VAT that applies; prices in dollars are before any sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies. You pay in the currency shown when you subscribe. What each plan includes is set out on the pricing page when you subscribe.

• Student Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year, charging the same card, until you cancel. Stripe emails a receipt for each payment.
• If we change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal. You can cancel before then and the new price never applies to you.
• If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries again over the following days and emails you. Until a payment succeeds your account works as Explore; Student Pro returns as soon as it does. If every attempt fails, the subscription ends. Your saved work is never deleted because of a failed payment.

You can cancel at any time in Account → Plan and billing. Student Pro then continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and does not renew.

14-day money-back promise. If you ask within 14 days of first subscribing, or of a yearly renewal payment, we refund that payment in full and end your Student Pro straight away. This includes your legal right to cancel.

Outside those 14 days, we do not refund part of a period you have already paid for, except where the law gives you that right, for example if Student Pro is faulty or not as described. How to ask is in our refund and cancellation policy.

We will provide Get3DMed with reasonable care and skill, and as described when you subscribe. We are always adding and improving models and features, and may change how things look or work.

We work to keep Get3DMed available, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. If we remove a significant part of Student Pro, or it is unavailable for a long period, you can cancel and we will refund the part of your payment you could not use.

When using Get3DMed, please do not:

• share your account or let others use your Student Pro
• download models or other content in bulk, or try to get around the plan limits or how premium files are protected
• send questions to the tutor automatically, or try to make it ignore its instructions
• disrupt, overload or probe Get3DMed for weaknesses
• resell access to Get3DMed or its content
• store unlawful or abusive material in your notes

Student Pro includes 100 live tutor answers each calendar month, renewed on the 1st (UTC), with no rollover. Top-up packs of 100 answers (£2.99, or $3.49 if you pay in dollars), where offered, are a single payment, are used only after the month's allowance and expire 12 months after purchase. To keep the tutor fast for everyone, very rapid bursts of questions are paused for a minute or two.

The Get3DMed software, design, writing and original models belong to us. You may use them for your own study and teaching, including screenshots in your notes, assignments and presentations with a credit to Get3DMed.

Many models and images come from open sources, including Z-Anatomy (CC BY-SA 4.0), BodyParts3D (CC BY-SA 2.1 JP), the Human Reference Atlas (CC BY 4.0), the RCSB Protein Data Bank and PubChem. Their licences apply to that material, and nothing in these terms limits what those licences allow you to do. The sources are credited at the foot of every page and on the About page.

Your notes, saved views, collections and saved explanations belong to you. You allow us to store and process them only to provide Get3DMed to you. You can download them or delete them at any time from Account → Your data, and they stay yours if you stop paying.

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Your data. This cancels any subscription immediately. If you are still within the 14 days above, email us at hello@get3dmed.com for your refund.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, for example by sharing it or downloading content in bulk. We will tell you why, and if we close a paid account without good reason we will refund the time you have paid for but not used. If we ever stop running Get3DMed, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any time paid for beyond that date.

If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable.

Get3DMed is for personal study. We are not responsible for business losses, and we cannot guarantee exam or course results.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your legal rights are explained by Citizens Advice.

We may update these terms, for example when the law or Get3DMed changes, and will change the date at the top. If a change affects your subscription in a way that matters, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first: most problems can be put right quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
